575 graduate from NUST’s engineering college

Of those who graduated, 360 were undergraduate, 207 were MS and eight PhD students

RAWALPINDI: As many as 575 students graduated from the National University of Science and Technology’s (NUST) College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering on Wednesday. This was the 25th convocation of the college.

Of those who graduated, 360 were undergraduate, 207 were Masters in Sciences (MS) and eight doctorates in philosophy (PhD) students. They were conferred degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Management.

Dawood Hercules Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Inamur Rehman congratulated the graduating students.

NUST Rector Naweed Zaman said the graduates need to take their skills of enquiry into the real world posing unforeseen challenges.

President’s Gold Medal for best performance in postgraduate programmes was awarded to Ayesha Akhtar, Muhammad Waqas, Shoaib Nadeem and Talha Ahmed, Bilal Maqbool, Fateh Ur Rehman, Shahid Nabi, Asad Mansoor Khan and Usman Hameed and Muhammad Adnan Khalil and Sumaira Ghazal.

President’s Gold Medal at the undergraduate level was awarded to Sundas Arif, Kashan Ali, Syed Muhammad Ali and Haris Bin Khalid.
