Blood camp for thalassemia children held

The blood camp was held under an MoU signed by Lahore Police and Sundas Foundation last month

LAHORE: A one-day blood camp for children with thalassemia was held at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Tuesday.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) BA Nasir was the chief guest at the ceremony. DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan, CTO Captain (retd) Malik Liaqat, SSPs Zeshan Asghar, Athar Waheed and Ismail Kharak, eminent showbiz star Khalid Abbas Dar and other officials of Sundas foundation were also present.

The blood camp was held under an MoU signed by Lahore Police and Sundas Foundation last month. Children affected with thalassemia were escorted by the police squad and warmly received at the Police Lines.

Rose petals showered on the children and guard of honours presented. Representatives from all units of Lahore police participated in the blood camp. The CCPO lauded passion of volunteers of police for donating blood for thalassemia affected children.
