Provision of healthcare facilities a priority, says minister

Haji Muhammad Khan calls on doctors to ensure attendance in hospitals

QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Industries & Commerce Haji Muhammad Khan has said the provincial government is paying special attention to healthcare facilities and education in remote areas of the province. He shared these views while visiting the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital in Loralai.

“The doctors should ensure their attendance in hospitals in order to facilitate patients," he said.  Khan reiterated that the government is utilising all available resources to facilitate doctors.

“Paramedical staff, including doctors, will be recruited to reduce the shortage of medical staffs for the functioning of all departments of the DHQ Teaching hospital," he said, adding that measures will be taken to address the water shortage issue in the hospital as well.

The provincial minister directed relevant officials to improve sanitary conditions. He instructed Municipal Committee’s Chief Officer to hand over one tractor, one dumper and 3 small dumpers along with staff personnel for cleanliness purposes.

The minister was accompanied by Zhob Division Commissioner Suhail-ur Rehman Baloch, Loralai Deputy Commissioner Kashif Nabi, Municipal Committee Chief Officer Ali Muhammad Zehri, Asghar Uthmankhail, Sardar Yahya Khan Jugaizai and other officials.
