The incident took place inside civil hospital, where gunmen opened fire at another firing squad, injuring four.
According to sources, hundreds of civilians fled the hospital in fear when the groups opened fire at each other, the reason behind the firing being personal enmity.
Further investigation is underway, but the administration of South Waziristan has not taken notice of the incident as yet.
Earlier this year, South Waziristan’s Wana Fort had been turned into a police station, becoming the first one in the district after its merger with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Central police officials said that the fort is now being used by police after it was vacated by Frontier Corps.
