Romantic comedy series Suno Chanda might be returning to our screens, and hearts, with a third season.

It’s no secret that the hugely popular award-winning series directed by Ahson Talish and produced by Momina Duraid performed exceptionally well in terms of ratings. Of course, it starred Lux Style Awards Best TV Actress Iqra Aziz as well as singer-songwriter Farhan Saeed. Suno Chunda became one of the most-watched television series in the country.

Now, there may be a reason to get even more excited as the well-loved show might be returning for a third season. We could almost hear fans hearts quicken as BBC Asian Network‘s Haroon Rashid dropped a Twitter bomb by confirming there are discussions in the works for season three of the show.

“Hello Suno Chanda fans. Momina Duraid has confirmed there are discussions about a third seasons but it will not air in 2020,” he wrote. “There will be a two year break and if it happens, it will air in 2021. Part of the series will be set in the UK.”

For me looks don’t matter; character does: Imran Ashraf

It has yet to be confirmed whether the original Suno Chanda‘s stellar cast will be returning or we’ll be seeing new faces.

Towards the end of the second season, we see Iqra’s character Jiya aching to go to the UK and Farhan’s character Arsal informing her that he’s bought a ticket and coming along with Jiya for the ride. Since Haroon has tweeted that the third season might be set in the UK, the audience will probably see what happens next on the couple’s journey then.
