Murder convict sentenced to life

Court also imposes fine of Rs3 million against the accused

KARACHI: The Malir Model Court awarded on Thursday life imprisonment to an accused, who stabbed a citizen to death around 22 years ago.

Additional Sessions Judge of Malir Model Court, Naveed Ahmed Soomro, heard the case and announced the judgment as the murder charge was proved against the accused, Abrar Ali.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs3 million against the accused. According to the police, the accused had stabbed to death a citizen, Kamran Ali, in 1997 and he remained an absconder for 22 years.

The case against the accused was registered at Quaidabad Police Station.
