ATC issues non-bailable warrants against SHO

Court also issues arrest warrants of three prosecution witnesses

KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court issued on Thursday non-bailable arrest warrants for the SHO of Civil Lines Police Station, Inspector Chaudhry Tariq Mehmood, in the murder case of Muhajir Qaumi Movement's worker, Syed Abrar Hussain, and ordered the senior officials to produce him before the court in the next hearing.

The special ATC No.16 was hearing the murder case of Syed Abrar Hussain Zaidi alias Javed at the Karachi Central Jail. Civil Lines SHO Mehmood didn't appear before the court despite being bound to come for a witness statement.

The court also issued arrest warrants of three prosecution witnesses. The court has sentenced Muttahida Qaumi Movement's target killer, Saeed alias Bharam, to life imprisonment in the case. Further hearing of the case is being done after the arrest of accused, Rasheed Ahmed alias Doctor, who was on the run.
