Van slams into metro bus stairwell

Cantonment police seizes the vehicle, arrests driver for investigation

RAWALPINDI: A passenger van slammed into stairs leading to a metro bus station in area of Saddar. According to a spokesperson of Rescue 1122, a passenger van veered its path due to over-speeding and rammed into stairs of metro bus station. He told two of three passengers injured were released after initial treatment while remaining one was shifted to CMH hospital. The accident badly damaged stair and other installations owing to which passengers faced extreme difficulties climbing up and down from station. The Cantonment police seized the vehicle and arrested driver for investigation. Meanwhile, police on Wednesday arrested six house owners and tenants for not providing their data to the relevant police stations and violating renting laws.
