Pakistani documentary 'Armed with Faith' nominated for an Emmy Award

Documentary tells the tells the story of the lives led by the brave Pakistani men of KPK Bomb Defusal Squad

A Pakistani documentary has made it to the Emmys. Armed with Faith tells the tells the story of the lives of the brave Pakistani men of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bomb Defusal Squad.

"We are going to the Emmys! Yay!" co-producer Haya Fatima shared on Facebook. "Our documentary film Armed With Faith tells the story of the lives led by the brave Pakistani men of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bomb Defusal Squad."


Directed by Asad Faruqi and Geeta Gandbhir, the documentary has been nominated in Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary category.

"Asad has shot this film in a way that lends a lot of respect to the people in the film," Fatima added. "This film made me fall in love once again with the kind people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the amazing grace they continue to possess in the face of adversity and injustice," concluded Fatima.


Armed with Faith was co-produced by two time Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy alongside Fatima.

Atsul | 5 years ago | Reply Bravo to people of KP and gratitude for people involved in making this documentary, there are so many positive things to highlight in this country to show to the world. Degrading and portraying just negatives is not the only way to gain recognition in the west and developed world.
