Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 organised the first-ever safety summer camp for school children in collaboration with Citizen’s Mobility and Development Foundation (CMDF) at Emergency Services Academy. The closing ceremony was held on Thursday and Rescue 1122 DG Dr Rizwan Naseer was the chief guest for the occasion. During the month-long safety camp, children learned skills pertaining to first aid, fire safety, and road safety. Addressing the ceremony, the director general said that the core objective behind organising the summer camp is to make children aware of safety measures and lifesaving skills. “Such basic education will not only provide them with a sense of safety but will also play a role in establishing safer communities in Pakistan,” he said. He maintained that the increasing number of road traffic crashes can only be prevented through proper education and awareness.
