Camps to screen for hepatitis B, C

DG health services Punjab will establish medical camps at hospitals across Lahore from July 18 to July 20

LAHORE: Directorate General Health Services Punjab will establish medical camps at various hospitals across the provincial capital from July 18 to July 20 to screen hepatitis B and C patients. DG Health Services Dr Haroon Jahangir took up the initiative on the directions of Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid. The camps will be set up at Mian Munshi Teaching Hospital, Government Maternity Hospital Chohan Road, Government Mozang Hospital, Diagnostic Centre Sanatnagar and Government Bilal Ganj Filter Clinic as well as at a mobile health unit at Outfall Road. Chairing a meeting on Tuesday, Dr Haroon said that the purpose of setting up these camps is to provide facilities to the public free-of-charge and to create awareness about hepatitis B and C. Medical camps will be set up with the cooperation of the Punjab Hepatitis Control Programme. Citizens will be able to avail free screening facilities and treatment from 8:30am to 5pm.
