Officials told to ensure facilities at bus stands

Divisional commissioner presides over a meeting and discusses basic facilities at wagon/bus stands

FAISALABAD: Divisional Commissioner Mehmud Javed Bhatti has directed officials to ensure basic facilities at bus/wagon stands in Faisalabad division and asked the secretaries of regional transport authorities to submit compliance reports in this regard.

He issued these instructions on Sunday while presiding over a meeting in which basic facilities at wagon/bus stands were discussed. He informed the meeting that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had taken notice of the deplorable conditions at bus stands.

The commissioner said that clean drinking water should be available at all bus terminals and added that a sufficient number of wash rooms must also be ensured.

The meeting was attended by Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar, ADC(G) Tariq Niazi, Additional Commissioner Mehbub Ahmad, Secretary RTA Zameer Hussain and others.
