Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh has been receiving rave reviews for being one of the best films that Shahid has been a part of.

While this has been proven given the opening numbers the Bollywood film has received and is Shahid's biggest opener, looks like many have an issue with the portrayal of the character in Kabir Singh.

Acoording to Bolo Na hit maker Sona Mohapatra, the flick also screams misogyny and male chauvinism, reported Pinkvilla.

The star happens to be extremely enraged with the film's narrative. Quoting a tweet from the now-deleted National Commission for Women's chairperson, she wrote, "Didn’t notice the deeply misogynistic & patriarchal narrative? Just intense acting?

I would rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories: Shah Rukh Khan

She continued, "That is truly deeply disturbing. That you are the chairperson of the @NCWIndia, makes me wonder about what we can hope for when it comes to women’s place in #India."

That wasn't all of the rant either. Sona also tweeted to another popular review on Twitter and expressed her opinion about the film, trying to start a conversation about what the film does and the issues it talks about.

She wrote, "& how can we keep such deeply disturbing, dark & dangerous politics ‘aside’? Does the actor have no responsibility for choosing to play a part in a narrative that can set us back as a society? Is that all we have become? Creatures of ambition? #LetsTalk #India #KabirSingh.”
