RAWALPINDI: A man suspected to be involved in the kidnapping of a ten-year old girl from Dhok Ilahi Baksh area left her outside a hospital after the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage went viral.

According to the footage, the suspect  apparently coaxed the minor to come along with him after which she sat in the pillion of his motorcycle and he rode away.

As the complaint was filed and the police started to tighten noose later that night, the suspect dropped her outside Benzair Bhutto General Hospital (BBGH).

The police immediately conducted a medical test of the victim while she was handed over back to her parents after recording her statement in a local court.

The SHO of Waris Khan police station, Inspector Muhammad Khan, told The Express Tribune that the victim remained safe. The SHO said that they were searching for the suspect  hoping his whereabouts would be known soon

For this purpose, he added that the photos acquired from the CCTV footage would be sent to NADRA while the investigation teams also conducted inquiry at various points at Murree road from where the suspect had passed through.

The police are also seeking mobile footages which could prove to be useful in investigation.

However, it was discovered that the police had failed to obtain any  CCTV footage of where the suspect had left the victim.
