QUETTA: A shutter down strike was observed in Quetta against the killing of business tycoon Ramesh Lal and the kidnapping of his son on Wednesday.

All business activities were at a halt in the city and less traffic was seen on the roads.

Founder of Kali Mandir, Maharaj Lakhmir Girji gave the call for the strike which was supported by the Balochistan National Party (BNP) as well as the traders association.

Traders of Kallat demanded the government to arrest Ramesh Lal’s murderers and recover his son.

They also stressed on the protection of Hindu traders in the region.

In the related developments, minority members of Balochistan Assembly staged a token walk-out from the session of assembly against the killing.
