KARACHI: An accountability court directed on Tuesday the counsels for the accused to continue with the cross-examination of National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) witness statement on the next hearing of the Rs5.76b corruption reference in the information department.

Jail officials produced former provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon and other accused before the court.

Counsels for the accused cross-questioned NAB witness, Abu Tehseen, who was presented before the court by NAB officials.

The court adjourned the hearing, directing counsels to continue cross-examination in Wednesday’s hearing.
