Wall chalking banned in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The district administration has slapped ban on graffiti saying it was defacing the city after a multi-million rupee facelift. Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ali Asghar imposed section 144 on wall chalking and pasting of posters in the district according to a notification, the K-P government spent huge amount on the beautification of Peshawar whereas the unnecessary wall chalking and pasting of the posters were tarnishing the government efforts of clean and green Peshawar. The violators would be dealt under the law, it said.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Local Government Shahram Khan Tarakai had said that the Peshawar city was gaining its beauty again after the completion of civil work on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.

“Flowers and plants are being planted again which will enhance the beauty of the city,” Shahram Khan said in a video message.
