‘Robbers’ arrested in alleged encounter

KARACHI: Three suspected robbers were injured in an alleged encounter in Landhi on Friday. According to police, three criminals were snatching motorcycles and valuables from people near Landhi Star Ground around 4:00am, when a patrolling police team reached the scene. The three suspects including Arif, 30, Zahid, 32, and Saeed, 36, sustained bullet wounds in their legs during an exchange of fire with the police. Police arrested them in an injured condition and claimed to have recovered two TT-pistols, a snatched motorcycle and other valuables from their possession.
