Seven arrested for looting houses in guise of servants

Police recovered gold ornaments and looted items from their possession

ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested seven people including two women for their alleged involvement in looting houses as well as robberies and recovered valuables and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

Following special directions of Inspector General of Police Muhammad Amir Zulfiqar Khan, he said that Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed assigned a special task to SP (Investigation) Syed Mustafa Tanveer to ensure the arrest of those involved in criminal activities in various areas of Golra police station.

He constituted special team under the supervision of DSP Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) Hakim Khan including ASIs Rana Tasneem, and others. This team arrested four criminals of two gangs including two women. They used to barge into the houses after portraying themselves as housemaids and commit robberies at gunpoint.

Police recovered gold ornaments and looted items from their possession.

Meanwhile, a team of Noon police station arrested three Afghan nationals involved in robbery incidents.
