“The issue is no longer confined to one single province. The government has failed to address the reservations of MQM-P and BNP-M. Both the parties should not vote in the budget session,” said the PPP chairman while chairing a meeting of the National Assembly Human Rights Committee on Monday.

The Human Rights Committee has also proposed to review the cybercrimes bill. The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the international agreements on human rights and the situation of the freedom of expression.
Expressing concerns over actions taken regarding the cybercrime bill, the NA body summoned the Federal Investigation Agency director general in the next meeting.
Raising the issue of former SSP Rao Anwar, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Saifur Rehman said the police officer should be questioned on the issue of human rights. “If Rao Anwar is stopped being called a brave child, the situation can improve.”
