Expressed views during ceremony held to distribute wheel chair scholarships at a govt school

MULTAN: Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik on Friday said special education institutions were playing an important role in brushing up qualities of special children.

The minister expressed these views during a ceremony held to distribute wheel chair scholarships at Government Secondary School of Special Education for the differently-abled children on Friday.

Lauding the services of the teachers, he said they were proud of teachers who were imparting training to special children and making them useful citizens of the society.

He said first degree college had been established for special children in Multan division and added that scholarships were also being extended on monthly basis. On the occasion, the minister gave 15 wheel chairs donated by Faisal Edhi and distributed monthly scholarship cheques among the children.
