Action against quacks continues in Khanewal

The deputy commissioner said that no one would be given permission to play with lives of the people

KHANEWAL: Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry said that action was being taken against quacks and illegal medical stores without any discrimination.

He expressed these views while addressing the quality control board meeting on Sunday. The deputy commissioner said that a total of 29 cases were presented before the board while show cause notices were issued to the owners of five medical stores.

The owners of the medical stores have been directed to obtain licenses as soon as possible, he stated.  He added that 10 quacks failed to present themselves before the board while 18 medical store owners have been asked to submit to a questioning by the board in the next session.
