RAWALPINDI: An infant’s condition turned critical after he was given the wrong injected in a private clinic.

While speaking to the media, the sources at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) said that the father of the infant Faizan Khan had stated that he went to consult a private clinic in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed as the minor was suffering from a high fever.

There, he was given an injection after which he started bleeding, after which the doctors suggested that the child be taken to the hospital.

The doctors at BBH said that the infant was 40-days old and his condition turned critical due to continuous bleeding.

The Pirwadhai Police have started investigation of the matter while the health department has also been directed by the District Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to conduct an inquiry of the matter.

The police have started preparing a medical and legal report of the infant.

The DC said the legal action will be taken against the responsible doctors.
