RMC to re-auction key civil contracts

RAWALPINDI: To boost its sources of income, the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation has decided to re-auction several facilities apart from raising fees. The fresh audit will be held on April 29. The contract for the slaughterhouse in Rawalpindi is expected to be auctioned for Rs14.138 million. Moreover, Suzuki pick-up van parking fees will be raised to Rs20 while the contract for the Suzuki parking stand is expected to be auctioned for Rs3.141 million. Similarly, rickshaw and motorbike parking fees will be raised to Rs20 and the contract for its parking will be auctioned for Rs3.516 million. The contract for the municipal latrine will be auctioned for Rs2.154 million. The fees for wagons plying local routes will be raised to Rs35 per trip and the contract will be auctioned for Rs1.818 million. Car parking contract will be auctioned for Rs4.391 million.
