RAWALPINDI: The Dolphin Force of Rawalpindi (DFR), which was set up to protect public property and control street crime,  has arrested as many as 11 people over the past three months and recovered illegal weapons, liquor and drugs from their possession.

The force also seized a number of cars, motorbikes and other vehicles for driving with fake number plates.

According to data released by the DFR, they arrested 11 suspects who had allegedly confessed to their crimes during investigations. Moreover, they claimed to have recovered around 28 pistols along with 387 bullets, 4 kilogrammes of drugs, 618 grammes of heroin and 37 bottles of liquor in different cases. Furthermore, the force seized more than 1,300 motorbikes for sporting fake number plates. A stolen car was also recovered.

In an operation against illegal weapons in Rawalpindi district, the police force recovered 37 pistols, a rifle, and an automatic pistol with 300 bullets.

Moreover, the police also recovered 397 litres of home-brewed liquor, 19 bottles of liquor, 13kgs of drugs and 405gms of heroin.
