RCCI organises marathon race  

The race starts from the Ayub National Park and culminates at the same point

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Sunday organised a marathon race to mark World Health Day. The race started from the Ayub National Park and culminated at the same point after covering a distance of three kilometers.

The male participants were divided in four categories based on different age groups: below 40 years of age, above 50 years of age and a general category. Besides that there was also a category comprising women and children.

RCCI President Malik Shahid Saleem while talking to the media said that the major aim of the marathon race was to promote healthy sports activities among the residents of Rawalpindi.

Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Chairman Asif Mehmood, who was the guest of honour, appreciated the RCCI for promoting sports and cultural activities. He also distributed shields among the winners and runners-up.
