Motorway police recover missing gold jewellery worth Rs0.5 million

Separately, two missing children are also reunited with their parents by the law enforcers

RAWALPINDI: In a show of great responsibility and professional excellence, the Motorway Police on Monday recovered missing gold jewellery worth Rs500,000 and returned it to its owner who had lost the bag carrying the jewels in a passenger bus on Islamabad-Lahore route.

According to a spokesperson of Motorway Police, the passenger in question had forgotten to pick his bag while getting off the Lahore-bound bus at Bhera Interchange.

On receiving the complaint, the Motorway Police gathered information regarding the mentioned bus and recovered the missing bag after stopping it near Pindi Bhattian stop. They then handed over the bag to its owner.



In two separate incidents, the highway police reunited two missing children – a four-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl – to their respective parents.

The boy, belonging to Lahore, had parted ways with his parents near Kot Momin, Sargodha while the Motorway field officers found the missing girl crying at Sial service area. Both children were handed over to their parents after the law enforcers located their whereabouts.
