No ATM in Awaran

Letter January 31, 2019
The authorities should provide the two local banks with ATM facilities

AWARAN: It is pretty clear that ATM is one of the most accessible ways to take out money, especially during emergency. It is also the simplest way to take money out within seconds.

However, unfortunately the citizens of district Awaran in Balochistan are facing problems due to non-availability of ATM in the area. These machines are considered to be a facility for just the urbanites. However, residents of semi-urban and rural areas also need this facility.

In district Awaran, there are only two banks and both of them are devoid of the ATM facility. As a result, many people stand in queues almost on a daily basis to draw cash from these banks. This delays any urgent matters they may have to deal with. Almost on a daily basis, people stand in lines for hours to take out money, wasting their time and energy.

The authorities should provide the two local banks with ATM facilities.
