RAWALPINDI:

A young man committed suicide in Gunjmandi area of Rawalpindi on Tuesday. Liaqat Bashir told the Gunjmandi police that his friend Tasawwur Hussain, working as a ward boy at a hospital, had committed suicide by ingesting toxic pills.

Bashir said they were living together in a flat in Mohanpura area. On Tuesday night Hussain was looking very tense.

He asked Bashir to go outside the flat and call his friend Wajid. When he returned he found Hussain in critical condition and shifted him to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (formerly District Headquarters- DHQ) hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

A doctor at the hospital told The Express Tribune that the deceased would remain upset and tense due to his strained relations with his parents and was living with his friends for the last two months.

The station house officer of Gunjmandi police, said the family refused to register an FIR against anyone.
