Speaking to members of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), he said Pakistan has made progress in leaps and bounds when cheap electricity and abundant water was available. However, now its requirement has altogether been changed and energy efficient machinery has become imperative to cut down its production cost.
A delegation of FCCI has been invited to participate in ITMA fair, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain from November 12 to 19, 2019.
“The reason why textile-related stakeholders from Faisalabad should participate in it is because they will be able to find all machinery according to their requirements under one roof,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, FCCI President Zia Alumdar Hussain said that the development of Faisalabad is directly linked with its innovative and progressive industrial sector.
He informed that Faisalabad has the privilege to cater to 60% textile needs for exports and domestic consumption.
He was of the view that Faisalabad possesses state-of-the-art institutions but there is still room for the new and innovative technologies.
“A special economic zone is being established in M3 Industrial Estate,” Hussain highlighted.
