The IHC on Monday took up the case of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Gen (retd) Asad Durrani of removing his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
During the proceedings, being heard by IHC’s Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Durrani’s counsel Amir Adam appeared in court. However, the Deputy Attorney General — who is representing the state, did not appear.
At this, the court adjourned the case until December 13.
Gen (retd) Durrani had co-authoured a controversial book along with a former Indian spy chief. Subsequently, the military launched an inquiry and Gen Durrani’s name was placed on the ECL.
