He said the producers have raised the prices just ahead of the federal budget as stocks of LPG importers had been sold three weeks ago.
He pointed out that some producers are selling LPG at Rs46,500 per ton while others are selling it at Rs55,778 per ton.
Hadi said with this rise, LPG is now being sold at Rs75 to Rs76 per kilogramme in Karachi. An 11.8kg cylinder is now available for Rs800 to Rs830 and 45.4kg cylinder for Rs3,078 to Rs3,194.
The retail price of LPG in Lahore is Rs76 to Rs77 per kg, the 11.8kg cylinder is being sold at Rs810 to Rs840 and 45.4kg cylinder is available at Rs3,117 to Rs3,232.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, LPG is selling at Rs80 per kg, 11.8kg cylinder at Rs850 and 45.4kg cylinder at Rs3,270.
He said in Swat, Gilgit, Fata and AJK, LPG is being sold at Rs84-85 per kg and 11.8kg cylinder at Rs875 while 45.4kg cylinder is priced at Rs3,366.
Hadi pointed out that local producers have reduced their production by 500 tons to 1,200 tons. The demand for LPG is 1700 tons per day, he informed.
Hadi said on the one side, international crude prices are falling while on the other side, local LPG producers have increased the prices.
