Facilitating victims: Police Help counter set up at BBH

The counter would also help ensure collection of evidence and samples from the victims

RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan Tuesday inaugurated the Police Khidmat Counter at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) to ensure provision of immediate medical aid to victims who are injured from a crime, besides providing them with a medical legal report within shortest possible time. The counter would also help ensure collection of evidence and samples from the victims.

On the occasion, BBH Medical Superintendent Dr Tariq Masood, SP Rawal Division and SDPO Waris Khan were present. According to a police spokesman, the counter has been set up on the directive of Inspector General of Police Punjab to facilitate the citizens. The Police personnel present at the Khidmat Counter will help provide immediate relief and medical aid to the injured and inform the concerned investigation officer, he added.    The CPO said that all out efforts were being made to provide relief to the citizens besides improving facilities to ensure the dispensation of speedy justice.
