A metal worker in Karachi discovered that he 'owned' property in the United Arab Emirates after he was served a notice regarding the matter by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), reported Express News on Wednesday.

Imran, a welder by profession in Karachi, said he discovered property in his name in Dubai only after he was served the notice."I am a metal worker. I don't even own a passport and neither have I ever planned on going to Dubai."

The investigative body has summoned the Nishter Road resident on November 20.

In October, a labourer, who went to open a bank account, was shocked to find more than Rs70 million in a fake account opened in his name.

The Sialkot resident had gone to a private bank to open an account when it was revealed to him that there was already an account opened in his name in Lahore.
