In Gadoon Industrial Estate : Flexible packaging plant set up in K-P

The new plant is expected to bring with it around Rs2.5 billion in investment

PESHAWAR: A Flexible packaging plant has been set up in the Gadoon Industrial Estate, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (K-PEZDMC) announced on Friday.

According to a statement released by the K-PEZDMC, the company facilitated the Cherat Packing Limited by transparently allotting land for the establishment of the plant, removing encroachment on the land, assisting in securing approval from different government departments and providing staff facilitation.

The new plant, which introduces a new technology in K-P, is expected to bring with it around Rs2.5 billion in investment for the province and create around 1,000 direct and indirect jobs.

K-PEZDMC CEO Saeed Ahmad Khan said that the project was another milestone towards the industrialization of K-P.

“KPEZDMC provided prompt facilitation to all our investors, making it easier to invest in K-P. We look forward to continuing facilitating many such success stories in future,” Saeed said in the statement.

Cherat Packages limited Director Anwar Khan appreciated the efforts of K-PEZDMC.

“Our experience with K-PEZDMC has made us more confident in investing in K-P and we plan to further enhance our footprint in the province with more investments.”
