One of the suspects is a Nigerian national who tried to flee on seeing the police, officials told Daily Express.
A team of Secretariat police station including Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq along with Constables Tanveer Ahmed and Adnan Ahmed were conducting checking at near QAU when they saw a suspected foreigner.
The suspect tried to slip away, but police caught him. On frisking police recovered 120 grammes of heroin from him. According to police spokesman, the suspect was arrested on information coughed up by already detained Nigerian nationals caught for selling drugs on campuses.

Moreover, the police party received information that a bike rider comes to sell hashish to students outside the campus gate. Secretariat police set up a picket on the road and started checking people.
During the snap checking police caught the suspect carrying over a kilo of hashish from the side fairings. He too is said to be part of Nigerian gang held few days before on the same charges.
The suspect confessed that he has been supplying dugs to students for a long time.
Ice heroine in halwa
A passenger was caught trying to smuggle methamphetamine heroin (ice heroin) in packets of halwa.
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Saturday recovered one kilogramme of high quality ice heroin from a passenger who had hidden it in Sohan Halwa. Adeel Khan, a Dammam bound passenger, was arrested and shifted to ANF lock up for questioning.
ANF officials told Daily Express that Adeel was caught when his luggage was scanned. The machine clearly showed packets hidden in halwa, they said.

A case has been registered against the passenger who belongs to Haripur and he has been shifted to the station.
Separately, Union Council 10 Councillor Asad Mehmood has been injured resisting a mugging bid in Khayaban Sir Syed Sector II.
People present on the spot arrested the two suspects who tried to flee after the incident.
Investigation Officer Aftab of Pirwadhai police station said that two suspects on a motorcycle tried to snatch Councilor Asad Mahmoud’s phone and on resistance shot him.
