This was stated by Advisor In-charge of Federal Ombudsman's Multan Regional Office Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Friday. He said that ombudsman's office was providing speedy justice to the people.
He added that almost 50% of the complaints were resolved by the departments themselves when they received orders from the ombudsman to submit report on the matters.

Abdul Hameed maintained that regional offices in Bahawalpur, Dera Ismail Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan and other areas were resolving complaints and extending justice to the people at the cheapest cost without requiring them to engage lawyers.
He pointed out that Multan office had received 3,802 complaints in 2017 and 3,642 of them were decided. He mentioned that 2,774 complaints were received in 2018 and of those, 2,533 were decided by October 2018, while the remaining 276 complaints were being heard.
The advisor in-charge said that compliance reports in 138 cases were still awaited, including 107 complaints against MEPCO, 17 against SNGPL etc.
