Former Quetta cop involved in serial child rape sentenced to death

FAISALABAD: A woman was allegedly gang-raped in Faisalabad’s Khurianwala area, police told Express News on Wednesday.

S*, a resident of Azhar Town, lodged a complaint at the police station stating that she was at her house when accused Raheel and Muhammad Naveed knocked on the door.

They said that her husband had been badly injured in a road accident and was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

She maintained that the suspects offered to take her to the hospital. S* revealed that she believed the culprits and went along with them in a vehicle. The victim said that instead of taking her to the health facility, the accused took her to a house in Khurianwala where two other accomplices Younus and an unidentified man were waiting.

She stated that the accused locked her in a room and allegedly gang-raped her.

Meanwhile, Khurianwala police have registered a case no 884/18 under section 376 and started investigations.

Earlier, a woman was allegedly abducted and raped in Faisalabad.

R*, a resident of Railway Colony Mohallah, Nishatabad, lodged a complaint at the police station in which she stated that accused Muhammad Shafique was her husband’s friend. She said that the accused used to visit their house and promised that he would arrange a job for her in a factory.

The victim narrated that Shafique called her and said that they had to go to the factory to meet someone. The woman maintained that she reached Lorry Ada where the accused was waiting for her on a motorcycle.

She said that the culprit took her to a house where he and his accomplices Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Muneer and an unidentified man allegedly gang-raped her.
