IG FC lauds role of tribes for peace

Says terrorists will not be spared

QUETTA: Inspector General of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan Major General Nadeem Anjum has lauded the role of tribes in the fight against terrorism.

Addressing a tribal jirga at FC Headquarter in Zhob on Tuesday, the IG FC said several tribes in Balochistan had rendered sacrifices for maintaining peace in the country. He said these tribes had played their effective role for the development of the province.

“During the war against terrorism, the brave tribes stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in defending the country,” he said.

The IG FC reiterated that terrorist spoiling the peace in Balochistan would not be spared. The armed forces would always be on the frontline in battling terrorism and maintaining peace, he added.

New IG FC vows decisive action against terrorists

Maj Gen Anjum said in addition to safeguarding the borders, the FC had been utilising its efforts to resolve basic issues of people living in Balochistan.

“More than 100 schools and 90 medical centres were being run by security forces in Balochistan while new schools were being established for people living in remote areas of Qilla Saifullah,” said the IG FC assuring that the issues regarding schools in Qamar Din Karez would be resolved on immediate basis.
