FAISALABAD: A woman was gang-raped in Faisalabad’s Sahianwala area, police told Express News on Friday.

Victim S* lodged a complaint at the police station stating that she was a widow and used to work as a housemaid in the area.

She added that on the day of the incident, Abid Hussain, whom she knew for a long time, came to her house and said that he had arranged a better job for her. She maintained the accused asker her to accompany him to meet the employer.

S* revealed that she believed the culprit and went with him on a motorcycle. The victim lamented that the accused took her to a house in Chak No 45-GB where his accomplice Azhar Ali was waiting for them.

She stated that the accused locked her in a room and allegedly gang-raped her.

Meanwhile, the Sahianwala police have registered a case no 320/18 under section 376 and started investigations.

Earlier, a woman was allegedly abducted and raped in Faisalabad.

Victim R*, a resident of Railway Colony Mohallah, Nishatabad, lodged a complaint at the police station in which she stated that accused Muhammad Shafique was a friend of her husband. She said that the accused used to visit their house and promised that he would arrange a job for her in a factory.

The victim narrated that Shafique called her and said that they had to go to the factory to meet someone for the job. The woman maintained that she reached Lorry Ada where the accused was waiting for her on a motorcycle.

She lamented that the culprit took her to a house where he and his accomplices Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Muneer and an unidentified man allegedly gang-raped her.
