QUETTA: Contradicting reports of any no-confidence move against Chief Minister Jam Kamal, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Central Information Secretary Chaudhry Shabbir has said that coalition partners have full trust in leadership of the province’s chief executive.

"Our leadership is steering the province in the right direction," said the BAP leader in a statement on Friday. "Under Kamal, BAP has been taking immediate steps to provide relief to the masses in health and education sectors, apart from providing them clean drinking water,” he said.

Shabbir refuted reports pertaining to a no-confidence motion against Kamal and slammed those criticising BAP.

“The critics should take a look at their own tenure,” he said, adding that the ‘corrupt’ previous governments had pushed Balochistan far back and caused a severe financial crisis.

The BAP information secretary said Kamal and his cabinet took effective measures to steer the province out if its current financial woes.

People of the province would soon witness the outcome of the positive steps taken by the BAP-led government, he said, vowing to hold the culprits accountable for looting public money.
