Flood Assistance: PESCO giving interest free loans

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) will provide long-term loans to its flood affected employees.

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) will provide long-term loans to its employees after seeking approval from its Board of Directors. According to a notification, Pesco employees affected by floods will receive interest-free loans in three different categories. Those employees whose houses have been completely destroyed, partially destroyed, or suffered minor losses will receive a loan of Rs150, 000, Rs50, 000 or Rs25, 000 respectively, with the loans to be repaid in monthly instalments. The employees appreciated this move by the management, saying that this step will enable them to reconstruct their houses.
