More than two dozen people were injured in what appeared to be a hand grenade attack on Napier Road, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to initial reports, unidentified culprits threw a hand grenade at a hotel located on Khokhar Street. Guests at the hotel were injured in the attack.
City Town SP Saqib Sultan told The Express Tribune that the attack was most likely caused by a hand grenade, adding that at least 14 people were injured and had been shifted to Civil Hospital. SP Sultan added that the motive behind the attack was unclear at the time and no group had claimed responsibility for it till the filing of this report.
Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area.
