Clearance sales are attracting more customers who are rushing towards the eye-catching stock clearance sales given under names like mega bundle offers, buy one-get one free, 50 to 70% discount sales.
According to young customers, outlets of brands have announced cash discounts of 30 to 50 percent on various clothing items and footwear.
"Customers who had been waiting for our clearance sale have started coming, said a retailer , adding, some customers wait till the end of the season to buy clothes at a sale.
"Basically, there are two types of customers those who like stylish and newly designed clothes and buy them at the arrival of the season and those who don't need to be so fashionable and wait for the end of season sale".
A number of retailers said that they were holding clearance sales as they were able to sell fewer winter clothes this year due to their higher prices.
“We announced gift vouchers offer which wasn't attracting enough but this year we are having exciting offers at affordable prices including discount sales of summer wear. In this way they will be able to get what they need for next summer," said a manager of famous brand fashion outlet.
Echoing similar sentiments, an employee of a leading garments chain said, “people usually waited to take advantage of these kinds of promotions.' The manager of another brand shop highlighted that the clearance sale is put at the end of every season to clear the one year-old stock of clothes from the warehouse, so that when the new collection arrives, it is easier for the store to manage.
Afshan Abbas said: "I wait so patiently for sale, every year as it is difficult to buy clothes, shoes and other accessories at the advent of the season on full price".
Saba Ali said: "as compared to the last few years, the trend of shopping during sale on different occasion and at the end of the season has become so popular as buying during sale is economical'.
