The Economic Department inspector conducted a snap inspection at the spa in September. Posing as a client, the inspector paid  500 dirhams for a Moroccan bath and massage to the Egyptian spa manager.

The Algerian masseuse then ushered the man to the showers, where she stripped and lured him into having sex. The inspector immediately stopped her, reported the incident to the manager and revealed his identity. He also asked the manager to produce the spa's  license and demanded his money back.

The manager, however, refused. She proceeded to 'insult' the inspector after he demanded his cash back.

The inspector made hotel management cognisant of what transpired after. Both women were arrested after police were alerted.

A Dubai court fined both, the Egyptian and Algerian 3,000 dirhams after convicting them of insulting the official and inciting one to sin respectively. Both have appealed the verdict.
