Microsoft unveiled its new line of Surface products with an update for existing laptops along with the new Surface headphones launch.

The company has made many small changes to its range of products over the year but the event was seen as a game changer for its Surface series. Here are some of the products that came out.

Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2

Kicking off the event with the announcement of the Surface Pro 6, the company’s laptop comes in new matte black colour and an updated 8th generation Intel processor. It weighs 1.7 pounds and is equipped with 13.5 hours of battery life.

The Surface Laptop 2 on the other hand still holds to its Alcantara fabric keyboard cover and has a 13.5-inch display. The 8th generation Intel processor is in place for this product as well with a battery life of up to 14.5 hours.

Surface Studio 2

Microsoft showed off the new Surface Studio 2, arguably the biggest upgrade to the series since its initial launch in December 2016. Surface Studio 2 has a 28-inch display with improved graphics performance.

Xbox wireless is inbuilt as well and along with compatibility to Surface Dial. This device is priced at $3,499 and will be shipped on October 16.

Surface Headphones

One of the new products launched. The Surface headphones come with in-built Cortana. It’s a pair of over-the-ear wireless Bluetooth headphones. It also has an automatic pause which stops the music when you take the headphones off the ears. The headphones have a battery life of up to 15 hours and come in a light grey colour.

Surface headphones are up for pre-order for $349.

Surface All Access

The Surface line-up will also get an All Access program that lets the customers bundle a Surface device with accessories and Office 365 for $24.99 a month for two years. The price will vary depending on the actual device a customer buys. This will, in turn, make it easier for Windows users to get the device and pay instalments.

App mirroring

After abandoning the Windows Phone, Microsoft is now once again bridging the gap between PC and mobile operating systems with a new app mirroring feature. This feature will let users cast their Android screens onto a Windows 10 device. The feature is available on both Android and iOS.
