ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohammad Amin Bukhari on Tuesday urged the people to keep him informed through police’s social media pages about any crime and suspicious activities.

“No highhandedness would be tolerated with anyone,” Bukhari said in a meeting with his staff after assuming charge as SSP-Operations Islamabad.

He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with police for elimination of crime and ensuring peace in the society. Bukari has earlier served as SP (Cantt) Lahore, SP-City Lahore and SP Sheikhupura. He also served in Balochistan as SSP (Headquarters) Balochistan, District Police Officer (DPO) Barkhan and DPO Kohlo.

Currently he is heading the capital police’s counter-terrorism force. He was assigned the additional charge of SSP-Operations after SSP Najeebur Rehman Bugvi’s transfer to Punjab police.

Bukhari said that his office is always open for the citizens who may come there for resolving their issues. Meanwhile, ASP Muhammad Omer Khan who was working as SP (DPD) has been appointed SP Saddar Zone in the place of SP Syed Zeeshan Haider who recently proceeded to the UK on one-year Chevening scholarship. SP (VVIP Security) Syed Hassan Raza Shah will have the additional charge of SP-DPD, said a notification issued by the chief commissioner’s office.
