Safety measures: Traffic awareness campaign arranged

BAHAWALPUR: The traffic police’s city mobile education unit teams arranged an awareness campaign with the objective of making motorists and pedestrians more aware of traffic rules. The move was initiated on the directions of SSP Gauhar Mushtaq Bhutta.

The purpose of the campaign was to ensure safety for motorcyclists and prevent any road mishaps by educating motorists about using helmets and creating a safe environment. Meanwhile, Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ayub Khan has said that foolproof security arrangements have been made for the holy month of Muharram and all the resources will be utilised in this regard.

The deputy commissioner expressed these views while chairing a District Peace Committee meeting regarding Muharram arrangements. He said divisional and district peace committee meetings had been held to ensure religious harmony and the timely resolution of sectarian issues.
