KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued on Monday an arrest warrant against a suspect, Tariq Rahim, in the Intezar murder case.

The hearing for the case was held at the Judicial Complex of Karachi Central Jail. The court directed the police to arrest Rahim and present him at the next hearing on September 25.

According to police, the Sindh High Court and an ATC have already rejected bail pleas filed by Rahim, who went into hiding after his bail plea was rejected.

A search for him is under way while eight Anti-Car Lifting Cell officials have already been taken into custody for their involvement in the case.
