MULTAN: A man who was shot by his wife three days ago in Jahanian died at the District Headquarters Hospital on Monday. Police arrested Rabia, the deceased’s wife, after initial investigations.

Jahanian police said that 21-year-old Ali Raza, a resident of 113-R, had married his wife Rabia approximately a year-and-a-half ago. However, the marriage was a tumultuous one; Rabia suspected her husband of having an affair with another girl.

Three days ago, Rabia insisted Ali taker her to her parent’s house. They were on their way when she asked her husband to pull over by the roadside near village 6T. Once he had stopped the motorcycle, she opened fire on him.

Then to conceal her crime, she raised a hue and cry attracting the attention of passers-by. She claimed that they had gotten into an accident which had seriously injured her husband.

After conducting a post-mortem report, it became evident that the victim had been shot, said police.
